New Lanark Christmas Experience – Quiet Session

Our well renowned Christmas at New Lanark returns in 2021 with a host of entertainment for the family. A Santa Experience ticket gains entry to the Santa’s grotto, in which children will be given a toy, with tickets also granting entry to the Spirit of Christmas Ride and the visitor attraction.

PLEASE NOTE: Adults must purchase an experience ticket to accompany their child into the grotto. Adult experience with grant access to the attraction and the Spirit of Christmas ride.

  • Advance booking is essential to guarantee your space. If you turn up without a booking we cannot guarantee a space to visit Santa’s Grotto.
  • Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your time slot.
  • When you are checked in, you will be able to wait in our Christmas craft area before being called through by one of our elves to see Santa. There will be other children booked within the same timed slot, this helps us manage the queues throughout the day.  You and your child/children will see Santa within that 30 minute window.  After you visit Santa you are welcome to return to the craft area.
  • Children should be accompanied by no more than 3 adults due to space restrictions around the grotto.
  • We will have a number of age appropriate gifts for each child who visits Santa’s Grotto.
  • Santa’s Grotto is appropriate for ages 10 and under.
  • The first hour on each Sunday will be our ASN session slot.
  • You are very welcome to take as many photos as you like.
  • Please leave plenty of time between the start/end of your grotto timed slot if you are planning on booking a ticket to our pantomime.
